  Renter Beware/Total Scam and Fraud ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I began the rental process of this property in Oct 2016. The initial correspondence with the management company was done totally by way of email at their insistence. Being our first experience at renting anything through any web site, we followed the management companies directions which were to make payments via a wire transfer to their bank account (which we subsequently found out from VRBO is a non-permitted form of payment) . After payment was made the management became extremely difficult to contact. Only after a direct intervention by VRBO did the management company contact us. Upon our scheduled arrival on 1/15/17 we were totally shocked. The advertisement for this property was evidently false and the photos were deceptive. We called the management immediately as there was no way we could live in such a hovel for a month. There was mildew on the woodwork, a leak in the laundry room, with a hodgepodge of dirty, ripped furniture, sticky floors, laughable eating and drinking utensils, counter appliances missing parts, poorly maintained grounds with dirty and disgusting furniture set upon it. We immediately called management, and after leaving several phone messages and sending emails, we received a call back from the Vice President, property manager of the Co. She offered us another Unit, aka Villa, but we had talked with several other renters and they voiced similar complaints, including non functioning showers, filth, leaks,etc. and therefore we declined moving. The VP then asked if we wanted our money back and we said "Yes". Due to the hour of the day and having a dog we were forced to stay the night but packed up and left early the next day. Communication was difficult between them and us, as they didn't answer phone messages and barely answered emails. Finally an employee of the company emailed us stating that "once you leave we will inspect the unit and process your refund of rent and deposit". It took many unanswered phone calls and emails and only when we contacted VRBO and asked if you would contact the property co. and request they contact us did we hear from them. They finally returned our deposit on 1/25/17. We have been sending emails inquiring when our rental fees are to be returned but to date have not received a response. This place, which consists of 7 units that they refer to as "Villas" is a total scam and the Management Company, Kaizen Realty Property Reservations along with their representatives are never to be trusted. Move on and rent from a source that you can confirm!!
